*Huge* standing ovation following the North American premiere of A STAR IS BORN at TIFF. Yep, it’s fantastic. Get ready, Oscar-watchers: out of the gate, it’s looking like ROMA vs. A STAR IS BORN… aka, apple vs. orange! pic.twitter.com/RiARoHHtx1

I don’t often say this, but:
Believe the hype behind A STAR IS BORN.
A familiar story delivered in a refreshing, raw, heartbreaking and poetic way so that it feels fresh again.
Cooper gives a career best performance and Gaga is a revelation.

Just experienced a film that is beyond words. Never been moved like that in the cinema. Sat thru credits crying. Lights came up. Security guard asked me if I was ok & offered me napkins.
A STAR IS BORN = remarkable achievement. Cooper/Gaga grabbed me & never let go. Beautiful. pic.twitter.com/GiYRbNNf9b

I wrote about the Oscar prospects of ‘A Star Is Born’, which is a movie we’re going to be talking about *a lot* over the next few months. https://t.co/BexSkP4b1a

I’d like to formally apologise for ever doubting that Lady Gaga is absolutely out of this world. A STAR IS BORN celebrates the woman, as it should – along with every noble ambition of love and music and patience and loyalty, bursting with pain and wonder #TIFF18

A STAR IS BORN will win Best Picture.
Haven’t been this certain on a #TIFF call since I called it for THE ARTIST a few years back. I feel just as sure with this.
It could even sweep the board at the #Oscars. I don’t think it will, but the potential is there.
Splendid movie. pic.twitter.com/526xYaVgHc— ——– ————– (@adambenzine) September 8, 2018
A STAR IS BORN was the real deal. The performances are fantastic and the music is phenomenal. Gaga’s last song is a stunning showstopper. Don’t miss this one. #TIFF18

A STAR IS BORN: oh no… it’s fantastic. I could not have been more skeptical, and yet this worked on me real, real good. Lady Gaga is [insert hyperbole of choice].

Lady Gaga’s character looking gorgeous in the A Star Is Born trailer: I’m too shy to sing because I’ve been told I’m not pretty enough
