During this week’s episode on Wednesday (Dec. 4), the Butterfly from FOX’s The Masked Singer had her wings clipped from the competition, and the world-famous singer behind the glittery green costume was none other than Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child.
But the singing competition show’s second season has six more contestants to unmask, and the panelist and fan theories have caused a Twitter frenzy. Some seem unanimously more obvious than others, but viewers will only find out on the upcoming episodes of The Masked Singer. A new episode will air next Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m. EST.
But before then, let’s see who the internet thinks the Tree, Thingamajig, Rottweiler, Leopard, Fox and Flamingo are.
Tree

— Nick Cannon (@NickCannon) December 5, 2019
Host Nick Cannon posed the question this week about the festive female voice behind the Tree, and panelist Ken Jeong adamantly suggested it was Nia Vardalos from the movie franchise “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” “Greek symbolism was all embedded through those clues…. On Broadway, she was in Tiny Beautiful Things. Smelly cat — I have been to her home, and she has a cat that has a certain odor,” Jeong concluded.
Even though co-panelist Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg patted him on the back for his proposal, guest judge Joel McHale heavily disagreed and pointed at Megan Mullally from NBC’s Will & Grace. “Megan Mullally has been on Broadway…. She’s a funny comedian,” he added, which McCarthy Wahlberg also entertained as an option.
But fans online are deeply rooted in Ana Gasteyer as being the shiny shrub — a contestant known for her connection to Christmas and baking/cooking. And what better person fits the bill than someone who just released a Christmas album titled Sugar & Booze. She addressed the speculation while visiting Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday night.
“I’ll tell you something,” she told Kimmel and the audience. “I’ve done some internet research myself, lot of people think it’s Natalie Cole, who passed. I will say if you might think it’s me — I’m not saying it is me — I’ll tell you a great way to find out, and that’s to buy my album Sugar & Booze.”

The overwhelming responses to who the Thingamajig could be round out to two major picks: NBA Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo and Wayne Brady. SB Nation wrote an article picking out all the clues for why Oladipo is the obvious mystery figure, and the same sentiment has been echoed by fans on Twitter.
Cannon retweeted this fan theory (which isn’t unusual for him), noting how the Thingamajig’s costume rip by his quad coincides with Oladipo’s torn quad. This theory further delved into how the Thingamajig said “second pick” during his clue package this week, and Oladipo was the second overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft by Orlando Magic, which just might be the magic he keeps referring to.

As for the next ballpark guess, Brady was presented with the convincing evidence, including the puzzling persona’s yellow pants that could be hinting at the time the former Let’s Make a Deal host ripped his pants and exposed his yellow underwear on the show. After being mistaken multiple times for the Monster last season — which turned out to be the first season’s winner T-Pain — Brady discussed his new approach to addressing The Masked Singer theories.
“Sure. You know what? To you and to anybody watching, ‘I tower above the rest,’ I’m 6 ft. That’s tall. But do I tower above everyone else? I don’t know,” he quipped to People. “Then I’m the Thingamajig. Cool. Then I’m the Fox. Great.”
Rottweiler
Guesses as to who’s behind the doggie head have relatively headed for the same person: Chris Daughtry. Everything seems to line up for this theory just from the season opener’s clues.
For starters, the Rottweiler teased, “The first time I touched a pigskin under the Friday night lights, I learned preparation is key.” And according to ESPN, Daughtry played football in high school. Second, blue roses were highlighted in a corner of the room, which could be poking at Daughtry’s blue rose tattoo on his arm. Third, he identified his competitve spirit as how he rose to fame, saying, “It almost happened overnight,” which might be a reference to his old American Idol days. And lastly, he warned, “Now this is an opportunity to embody my fear, and to show the doubters it’s not over,” the last words matching the title of Daughtry‘s debut single “It’s Not Over” from their 2007 eponymous debut studio album.
Check out how strongly fans have been feeling this prediction.
you watch the masked singer ONE TIME and next thing you know you’re stalking chris daughtry to see if he fits the clues for the rottweiler

Leopard
The Leopard has been showing off his spots and singing chops on The Masked Singer, but not his face. He clearly wants to remain secretive, but if you ask Billy Porter, he’ll deny the claims he’s the Leopard at all costs.
Billy Porter at Thanksgiving Parade: sings
Masked Singer fans trying to solve who is the leopard: takes notes
— Jack Olin (@jackdavidolin) November 28, 2019
In an interview with Distractify, the Broadway performer claimed he had never even seen the show or known what it was about, but a fan confronted him about it at the 2019 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. “This little kid screamed at me from the parade when I did the parade last week, on the float, asking me if I was the Leopard on The Masked Singer,” Porter explained. “I told him no and he didn’t believe me. I’m telling you now, if you say it’s Billy Porter, you will lose ’cause it ain’t me! It’s not me.”
On the other hand (or paw), two identical fan theories matched Seal with the Leopard. But McHale has someone else in mind for the ferocious contestant: Alec Baldwin. The eighth episode’s clue about having “little ones” at home had McHale guessing the comedian because “he has like 13 kids at this point, they’re all under 5, so no wonder he needs the money,” he said in a video exclusively obtained by The Wrap. Baldwin’s wife Hilaria is currently pregnant with their fifth baby, and the remaining children are 6 years old and younger, so McHale’s math almost checks out.

It seems obvious if Jamie Foxx was actually the Fox, but he won’t fess up according to his shoulder shrug emojis neither confirming nor denying The Masked Singer‘s Twitter query.

But this is when the Brady guesses really start trotting in. One fan on Twitter mapped out how everything aligns for him to be the Fox: Brady mentioned working with Doogie [Howser, MD] to [Mrs.] Doubtfire, considering his work with Neil Patrick Harris on How I Met Your Mother and with Robin Williams on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, respectively. And the superhero mentions associated with the Fox might be targeted at his latest role as the Gravedigger on the third season of DC Comics’ Black Lightning.
Okay I’m late to the party but HOW DO THE JUDGES OF THE MASKED SINGER NOT SEE THAT THE FOX IS WAYNE BRADY??? Mentions of working with Doogie to Doubtfire? Ryan Stiles and Robin Williams anyone?? In this essay I will

Flamingo
Fans feel really strongly about this feathered beauty and have pinned her to be former Cheetah Girl Adrienne Bailon. She seems to be shaking it back to her old days when she performed “Shake Your Tail Feather” for the 2005 Disney animated movie Chicken Little. But before season 2 even premiered, the Flamingo talked at ease about her previous tropical vacation, and from Bailon’s Instagram, her June trip to Hawaii seems more suspicious than splendid. Good House Keeping also noted that her “I love this mask as much as I love mascara” tip could be referring to all of her beauty and lifestyle tips and tricks she shares on her YouTube vlog series “All Things Adrienne.”
Here’s how presumptions of who the Flamingo is have ruffled up the internet.
Does anyone watch the masked singer????? If the flamingo isn’t Adrienne Bailon just off me
