It’s clear that Todrick Hall has been using his time in quarantine productively — the star has already managed to write and release an entire EP of coronavirus-themed songs. Now, he’s getting his celebrity friends together to host a good old fashioned isolation kiki.
This time, Hall trades out the dance-fueled lyrics of the original with more quarantine-appropriate activities like cleaning, sleeping in and trying to stay sane. “Left, right, left, right swiping on Tinder/ What was life like? I can’t remember,” he sings.
But he’s certainly not alone — in the accompanying video, Todrick is seen in a modified version of the original video’s outfit (now complete with a bedazzled mask, a Tiger King t-shirt), joined via video by a whopping number of guests to get down while their holed up inside. Just a few of the guest stars include Nicole Scherzinger, Jade Thirlwall, Kandi Burruss, Tamar Braxton, Tiffany Haddish, Amber Riley, Bob the Drag Queen, Peppermint, Laganja Estranga, Trinity the Tuck and many, many more.
In a note posted under the video, Hall said that he wanted to create a project that could lift people’s spirits while they were stuck in the ongoing horror show that is the current pandemic. “I by no means am attempting to diminish the severity of this pandemic, but trying to show that you can still be creative, still have fun and be fabulous from the comfort of your own home,” he said.
