Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Jonathan Van Ness, and Bobby Berk came together to do a makeover like they’ve never done before. In the new video for “This Is Me (The Reimagined Remix)” from The Greatest Showman — Reimagined compilation album, out today (Dec. 20), the four men help three high school students cultivate their talents.
In the video — which accompanies the track sung by Keala Settle, Kesha and Missy Elliott — we are introduced to Timmy Lona, J’Shawn Gill, and Olivia Williamson, three high school students who have a passion for rapping, dancing, and singing respectively. As they begin to hang out with the Queer Eye cast, the trio of teens start to practice their crafts, and eventually become more confident in their abilities.
At the end of the video, all three teens perform a specific segment from the original track on a stage in front of their peers. All three students received a positive response from the audience as the cast of Queer Eye looks proudly at them from backstage.
The video debuted this morning on The Today Show where Porowski explained that he had always wanted to make a music video. Lucky for him, his friend Benj Pasek, one of the main composers for The Greatest Showman, allowed him to make a video for “This Is Me.”
Gill, the featured dancer in the video, was also very happy to show off his talent, and also be a part of the video.
“I’m excited to show everyone what I’m capable of doing,” Gill said during the interview, “It was really fun. These guys are so funny and they made me feel comfortable. I’m so grateful I was able to do this.”
The video was made as a part of VH1’s “Save The Music Foundation” which helps raise money for music programs in schools throughout the country. Check out their donation page for more information, or to see how you can help.
