The word PRIDE is one that I have chased, admired and tried to spread throughout my entire life. PRIDE in your actions, PRIDE in what you represent to our world, and most importantly PRIDE in who you are. The LGBTQ community has shown me, and the world, what it is to truly believe in yourself and be proud of who you are in this world we live in today. Our differences are what set us apart and make us unique in this life. Those differences and uniqueness only truly come alive when we have PRIDE in them.
Growing up as a youngster in NYC I was exposed to every single community and culture our beautiful world had to offer. The LGBTQ community always showed me from a young age that it was okay to express yourself and be exactly who you wanted to be. By being true to your passions, your life, and your identity you would be better equipped to serve our world with love and compassion.
I will always have the LGBTQ communities’ back because they taught me that PRIDE is more than a word in a dictionary, it is a symbol of strength.
