Tatianna unveiled the sleek music video for the trap-n-B kiss-off “Cya” Thursday (Aug. 30). “Cya” marks the Drag Race season 2 alum’s third single off her debut album T1, which debuted this May.
A club-friendly jam about casual flames that have all but fizzled due to circumstance, “Cya” adds another layer to Tatianna’s distinct, decidedly assured pop star persona.
“The song is mainly about explaining to a casual fling or friend with benefits that I don’t have the time in my schedule to have a full on relationship,” Tatianna tells Billboard. “Letting them know I love the time we spend together, and it could grow to be something more, but not at this moment in time.”
The lusty, high-gloss video, directed by Assaad Yacoub, finds Tatianna serving high glamour amid a stable of hunks in the boudoir, in the club and at a car wash. Each shot pans slowly between vantage points to unveil a new side of her romantic affairs.
