Scott Hoying and Mitch Grassi of Pentatonix fame have released the lastest music video from their side project Superfruit. The musical duo enlisted Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon to star in a video for their cover of When in Rome‘s “The Promise.”
The video opens with Grassi and Hoying sitting on the bleachers outside an ice-skating rink, bobbing their heads as they sing the song’s lyrics. The clip cuts to Rippon in the middle of the rink, prepping for routine that consists of jaw-dropping spins and astonishing mid-air spins.
Eventually, the duo join Rippon on the ice to show of their own skating skills. “I’m sorry, but I’m just thinking of the right words to say/ I know they don’t sound the way I planned them to be,” the pair sing passionately as Rippon skates elegantly around them.
“I’m going to poop myself,” Rippon tweeted with an image of the trio.
