Bullying of any kind, especially against young people in the LGBTQ community, should never be tolerated. On Thursday (Oct. 15), celebrities from around the globe made sure that message was heard loud and clear.
Dozens of stars participated in GLAAD’s Spirit Day, the annual campaign where celebrities, companies, organizations and people “go purple” to show support for LGBTQ youth, and to call for an end to bullying inside the community. Corporations like the NFL, Kellogg’s, CNBC and more all marked the occasion by changing their online logos to purple.

Joining them were massive stars, including pop singer Sam Smith, presidential candidate Joe Biden, country singer Reba McEntire, and even the legendary Celine Dion. “We’re going purple in solidarity with @glaad #SpiritDay!” Dion wrote in a message posted on her Twitter. “I encourage all of you to join us and take a stand against anti-LGBTQ bullying.”
