Ahead of her appearance on RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars, which kicks off tonight (Jan. 25), season 7 queen Trixie Mattel caught up with Billboard Pride to chat about Kellyanne Conway, Jason Mraz and her childhood crush on a certain blonde 90s TV star.
When asked who she would love to give a drag makeover to, Mattel expresses a desire to restyle White House Counselor to Pres. Trump Conway. She also reveals that her biggest current celebrity crush is a three-way tie between Ant-Man star Paul Rudd, Now You See Me actor Jesse Eisenberg and Nev Schulman from MTV’s Catfish. “I don’t specifically choose Jewish men – they choose me,” she jokes.
As for her first-ever gay crush, Mattel divulges her fondness for Zack Morris, sharing, “Every time on Saved by the Bell when he would break the fourth wall, I felt like he was looking right at me…and I think he was!”
For fans curious as to what the first concert Mattel ever attended was – it was to see Michelle Branch and Jason Mraz. “I remember this is around the time he was singing that one song and he had that trucker hat and his giant arms,” she shares, “and I was fully 15 and fully erect.”
In the video above, Trixie Mattel also reveals the first song she ever did drag to (which was, appropriately, Aqua’s “Barbie Girl”), who her ultimate diva is, what the best piece of advice she’s ever heard is, and much more.
The third season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars airs on Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on VH1.
