On the latest episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, pop star Rita Ora appeared as an interview guest, and to perform her song “Carry On,” which appears on the soundtrack for Detective Pikachu.
Ora gave a stunning performance of her new track alongside Kygo, as the two mimicked a studio session, with the singer performing in a sound booth while Kygo played piano and produced outside of the booth. “Led me through the deepest waters/ I promise loud to carry on for you,” she sang.
The singer also sat down with Fallon to talk about her experience at Monday’s Met Gala, where she says she and Lizzo were busy singing along to Cher and making moves on some of the event’s staff. “She just kept flirting with all of the waiters,” Ora said of Lizzo. “So I just got involved and said ‘let’s flirt with the waiters,’ because they were all so handsome.”
Ora also made headlines earlier this year when The Hollywood Reporter accidentally used a photo of the star dressed up as Post Malone from last year’s Halloween in a story about the rapper performing at the Grammys. Ora told Fallon that she thought the mishap was hilarious. “It was so funny, everyone kept tweeting me,” she said. “I was like, ‘Hey, am I performing at the Grammys? Oh, right, that’s not me.’”
