Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme — today (Oct. 15), YouTube commentator and parodist extraordinaire Randy Rainbow spins an interview from someone in the Trump administration into a beautifully-sung one-man campaign, and in the process, turning the likes of Omarosa and President Donald Trump into perfect comedic targets.
Only days after Melania Trump appeared on ABC for a rare televised interview, Rainbow transformed the Q&A into a catchy, snarky critique on the First Lady’s time in the White House.
He transforms “Be Our Guest,” the grandiose Beauty and the Beast number, into a spoof on her comments in the interview, where she refers to herself as “the most bullied person on the world,” her grammatically-dubious anti-bullying campaign Be Best, and, crucially, her silence about her husband’s many, many controversies, all while wearing a fabulous Mrs. Potts outfit.
“Don’t stand up or show support/For what’s real or fair or true,” he commands the First Lady, before chiding her for her apathy. “You really don’t care, girl, now do you?”
