After eight episodes dropped on Netflix back in February, Netflix’s reboot of Queer Eye left fans begging for more time with the new Fab Five. While they were teased that more was on the way, fans were left unsure of when they would next get to see the boys in action. It turns out, they’re going to get more a lot sooner than they thought.
Netflix announced on May 24 that the second season of their mega-hit show will be returning June 15, with more action from Tan France (fashion), Bobby Berk (design), Karamo Brown (culture), Antoni Porowski (food & wine) and Jonathan Van Ness (grooming). The platform announced the show’s return with a short video, showing the boys in a group text chain discussing the success of the show (and making fun of Antoni’s affinity for avocados).
According to a press release from the show, season 2 will continue to take place in Georgia. As in the first season, the Fab Five will be working with schlubby guys who need help looking fabulous, and they will encounter people with views different than their own. This season, the guys will be talking with their clients about issues like immigration, faith, and “how to make the perfect homemade poke bowls.”
Fans of the show have known that season 2 would be coming later this year — after the show was renewed, Bobby Berk revealed in an interview with Variety that the next episodes were already on deck.. “These we actually shot right at the tail of the first season, so they’ve already been shot and they’re ready to go,” he said.
