Last night (Oct. 17), Justin Tranter took to the stage of The Sayer’s Club in Hollywood, Calif. for Beyond, a Spirit Day concert benefiting GLAAD.
Throughout the night, Tranter performed tracks they had a hand in co-writing, including Halsey’s “Bad At Love,” DNCE’s “Cake By The Ocean” and Imagine Dragons’ “Believer,” which they performed alongside Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds. Another major highlight came at the top of the show, when Tranter gave Justin Bieber’s 2015 Hot 100 chart topper “Sorry” some punk rock flair.
The event raised over $400,000 for the LGBTQ media advocacy group and was also attended by Nick Jonas and Darren Criss. “I want to make sure the music business really understands and is aware of how much the LGBTQ community contribiutes to our amazing, gajillion-dollar industry,” Tranter, who curated the concert, explained to Billboard.
