Janelle Monae looked stunning as always at the 2018 BET Awards on June 24, owning the red carpet at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, Calif.
But her choice of gown for the evening was particularly special, in that it featured every color of the rainbow, making for the perfect Pride ensemble. The singer accessorized with a black hat and a rainbow crystal-studded clutch.
Monae recently came out as queer in a cover story for Rolling Stone. “Being a black queer woman in America, someone who has been in relationships with both men and women,” she said, “I consider myself to be a free-ass motherfucker.’”
