I’m grateful to the LGBTQ community for giving me the courage to write music about who I am and not just about my sexual orientation. Every day, whether it’s online or in person, I witness the compassion and acceptance within the community, which inspires me to share my personal experiences through my music.
It’s wonderful to see parents come together and openly support their LGBTQ kids at my shows. A dad once told me to “keep singing from my heart” because it meant the world to him and his daughter. By showing and celebrating our pride it pushes society to accept one another and inspire people to come together.
