“Did you know this room is where [President Donald Trump] gave his victory speech?” Ross Mathews said at the 2017 GLAAD Media Awards Saturday (May 6) at the New York Hilton Midtown before pulling out a lighter and a stick of sage. “Since this is the room where Trump won, we’re going to sage the room,” he said to a standing ovation. He also had this to say about the current President:
“Have you noticed that he’s obsessed with certain words? Everything’s big. Bigly. Enormous. Huge,” said the comedian and host of Straight Talk with Ross Mathews. “You guys — the leader of the free world is a total size queen.”

The host’s speech wasn’t all politics though; he snuck in lighthearted jabs at Beauty and the Beast, Mr. Robot and Barry Manilow.
“I don’t know about you, but my jaw is still on the floor after learning that all this time, Barry Manilow has been on the Mani-DownLow,” joked Mathews. “Turns out the original title of ‘Mandy’ was ‘Randy.'”
