2018 was a big year for Donna Missal. After being featured on tracks by Macklemore and Rudimental, the indie rock star released her debut album This Time, a moody, reflective album that garnered acclaim from critics and earned the up-and-comer a boatload of new fans.
But Missal is kicking off 2019 with a bang, making her first-ever television appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers on Monday night. The star took the stage in Studio 8G to perform her song “Keep Lying,” a raspy rock anthem about the struggles of finding yourself in an abusive relationship.
Her performance on Late Night is only the beginning of Missal’s year; the star is set to embark on her first headlining tour starting on Valentine’s Day in Chicago. Missal took to Instagram in December to describe why her show will be themed around a prom. “I was homeschooled. I never had a school dance or a picture day or a graduation,” she wrote. “THIS TIME TOUR is your invitation to the winter and spring formal I never had.”
