All throughout the pandemic, Héloïse Letissier (a.k.a. Christine and the Queens) has been regularly keeping her fans fed with short performances across her social media. Now, the star is turning to a staple of cover songs for one of her best at-home videos yet.
On Monday, the star shared her latest performance, covering Bruce Springsteen‘s 1985 hit song “I’m on Fire.” Wearing a full black coat with a white shirt and pants underneath, the star offered a softened, piano cover of the yearning single. “Tell me now, baby, is he good to you? And can he do to you the things that I do?” she croons on her emotional rendition. “Oh no, I can take you higher/ Ooh, ooh, ooh, I’m on fire.”
In her Instagram post featuring the new clip, the star shared her love of Springsteen’s song, while sending a loving message to her fans stuck in quarantine. “This is one of my favorite songs,” she wrote. “@bastien__d has a killer studio so I went to spend a few hours there. I needed music as much as I need and miss you all.”
Throughout the pandemic, Letissier has shared a number of posts covering some of her other favorite songs, including The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights,” Steve Lacy’s “N Side,” Drake’s “Toosie Slide” and many more.
