RuPaul’s Drag Race has seen its share of big-name guest stars. In its last two seasons alone, Lady Gaga and Christina Aguilera stepped in for diva-size premiere episodes. So could Cher be next?
It’s not out of the picture: “I think that’s… I think that’s probably going to be a surprise at some point,” the icon said in her new cover story for Attitude magazine.
She spoke highly of the show’s namesake: “I’ve known [RuPaul] for a long time. I loved his acting. He’s a really good actor and I wish he’d do more of that. He’s a sweet guy, I like him.”
Last season, Drag Race paid tribute to the icon in the form of a musical challenge, where the queens each sang live in a performance of Cher: The Unauthorized Rusical.
VH1 previously announced that both RuPaul’s Drag Race and RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars were greenlit for new seasons.
