Drag superstar and season 6 winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Bianca Del Rio is not known for her calm, tender nature. The queen has garnered a reputation as a hilarious comedian who is not afraid to cut you down to size with her words. So when she revealed that the title of her new film was Hurricane Bianca: From Russia With Hate, it felt perfectly apropos.
The trailer for Bianca’s sequel to her 2016 indie comedy Hurricane Bianca dropped today. The story seems to pick up where the first film left off — with Debbie Ward (Rachel Dratch) out of prison and seeking revenge, Bianca is sent to Russia for a fake teaching award, only to be embroiled in a covert operation to round up and convert all gay people.
The film boasts an all-star cast of celebrities from both inside and outside Drag Race. Alongside stars Bianca and Dratch are Katya Zamolodchikova (Brian McCook), Shangela Laquifa Wadley (DJ Pierce), Wanda Sykes, Cheyenne Jackson, Janeane Garofalo, Mrs. Kasha Davis (Ed Popil), Darienne Lake (Greg Meyer) and more.
The film is set to premiere in San Francisco on May 14. Watch the new trailer for Hurricane Bianca: From Russia With Hate below:
