Heading into the finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10, fans of the show have already begun declaring their picks to win. But for those looking to make their finale night a little bit more interesting, bookies have declared that Aquaria is their favorite to win this year’s crown.
According to SportsBettingExperts.com, the 21-year-old Brooklyn queen is the favorite to win the competition, likely due to her stellar three-win and no lip-sync record on the show. Following her in the site’s predicted second place is Eureka O’Hara, with a tie between Asia O’Hara and Kameron Michaels for third and fourth place (which don’t exist in the Lip Sync for the Crown finale format).
Aquaria was given -450 odds for the win on the site. In the American odds system, a negative indicates one party as the favorite to win, and the number next to it indicates how much a person must be willing to bet in order to win an additional hundred dollars. According to the site, if someone were to bet on Aquaria for the win, they would need to risk at least $450 in order to profit an additional $100 on top of their bet. The higher the number, the more likely experts believe that party will win.
Eureka, however, was given +250 odds for the crown. A positive indicates an underdog, and the corresponding number indicates how much a person stands to win if they bet $100. Simply put, Eureka, along with Asia and Kameron (each clocking in at a whopping +1,500), have been given a significant handicap due to what the site has concluded are difficult odds stacked against them in Aquaria.
These numbers indicate that experts believe Aquaria has a strong advantage going into the finale, while Eureka follows with the best-likelihood of winning the runner-up title. The site believes that either Asia O’Hara or Kameron Michaels winning the crown is a long shot.
It is important to note, though, that these odds are being calculated in terms of each queen’s performance on the show and based on the wide-ranging opinions being posted throughout the internet. With the Lip Sync for Your Legacy format in place, it could be anyone’s game as to who could win the crown (need we remind everyone of the Rose Petal Incident of 2017?).
Place your bets and watch the season finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race this Thursday, June 28, at 8 pm E.T. on VH1.
