Selena Gomez auditions with adorable animated animals in the video for Coach’s new “Lights, Camera, Holiday” campaign released on Friday (Nov. 2).
The fun clip, titled “Lights, Camera, Holiday,” shifts through snippets of each character’s auditions at the Coach New York studio, with Gomez trying her hardest to shine among the animals for a spot in Coach’s holiday window. “Who’s going to watch me if I’m standing still?” a small animated frog says to the camera before showing off some fun dance moves. “You need to get some attention.”
After being asked if she loves owls, Gomez playfully replies with, “I love owls, I go owl watching!” The cameraman then asks everyone to give their best “Happy Holidays” greeting.
The full holiday campaign includes a series of short animated films, written and directed by Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman of New York’s Supermaché, that will release on Coach’s social media accounts, as well as a print component showing shots of Gomez stepping out of a vintage car holding Coach’s metallic Parker bag.
Through the use of augmented reality from CameraIQ, the brand will also bring their animated vision to life in North American stores. Coach’s Japan stores will also include a party animals game for customers.
