Less than 24 hours after dropping her collaboration with Yo Gotti on their colorful Stepford Wives-esque music video for “Rake It Up,” rap’s reigning queen Nicki Minaj is set to release her second MAC Cosmetics collection this fall. The cosmetics giant has held a steady presence in the music industry by forming strategic alliances with both emerging and established talent including Rihanna, Justine Skye, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus.
Minaj is translating her recent understated fashion sense into her cosmetics line by custom designing two creamy pink lipstick shades suggestively dubbed Nicki’s Nude and The Pinkprint, an ode to her album of the same name which debuted at number one on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart in 2014. She previously created a lavender lipstick benefiting MAC’s Viva Glam foundation in 2012.

Taking to Twitter, Minaj teased that the September 21 launch is just the beginning for her and the Toronto-based company. “Guess who’s back w/M·A·C? Surprise announcement coming for 2018! Until then, #NickiNudes come out globally in September. #MACxNickiMinaj”.
