Michael Bublé‘s seminal holiday album Christmas celebrated not one, but two milestones recently: It returned to the top 10 of the Billboard 200 this week (chart dated Dec. 21) and received a special plaque for selling over 15 million copies.
After unwrapping a new rendition of “White Christmas” on Nov. 1 accompanied by a claymation music video, Bublé returned in claymation fashion for what seemed like the music video shoot but ended up being a surprise presentation for his latest Christmas benchmark.
“Just wanted to stop by, say hi and give you some amazing news,” an animated Aaron Bay-Schuck, CEO and co-chairman of Warner Records, announced after interrupting the shoot.
“Michael, your album Christmas has sold over 15 million albums worldwide, and we wanted to commemorate the occasion with this,” presented an animated Tom Corson, COO and co-chairman of Warner Records.
“This is amazing! You guys are the best in the world, thank you so much,” Bublé exclaimed. “And to all you beautiful people out there — my family, my friends, my loves — I’m wishing you guys all a very merry Christmas.”
