Thanksgiving has come and gone, which can only mean two things: the countdown to Christmas has begun and Mariah Carey is leading the charge. On Sunday (Dec. 1), the superstar took to social media to introduce her very own digital advent calendar for the big day.
Dressed in a sparkling toy soldier costume from her ongoing All I Want For Christmas Is You Tour, Carey informed her Lambs that she’ll be counting down 25 Days of Mariah Christmas all month long on her official website. Promising “lots of fun surprises,” the queen of all that’s festive said she’s “just looking forward to each and every day till Christmas” before blowing a kiss to the Lambily and signing off with a wave.
For Monday’s gift (Dec. 2), Carey lets fans in on her favorite Christmas movies, including Miracle on 34th Street, It’s a Wonderful Life, A Charlie Brown Christmas and Elf. (Naturally, the queen of Christmas’s animated holiday film Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas is You, as well as 2017’s The Star — for which she provided the theme song of the same name — both made the list as well.)
Of course, the 2019 holiday season also marks the 25th anniversary of Carey’s seminal Christmas album, 1994’s Merry Christmas, so the Lambily can expect even more surprises from their queen as she celebrates the milestone all month long.
