Christmas came early today (Dec. 16) when the Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey took the Billboard Hot 100 throne for the 19th time in her career with “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” the first time the 1994 seminal holiday single has topped this chart.
Billy Eichner premiered his Billy on the Street episode with Carey, featuring the two galavanting down the streets of New York City to spread the Christmas spirit to passersby, and now he thinks the good news is a two-for-one special.
“AND NOW ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU HITS NUMBER 1 ON @billboard’s HOT 100 after 25 years the day Mariah’s Billy on the Street video comes out – THERE ARE NO ACCIDENTS!!! Congrats @MariahCarey!!!” he tweeted.
Check out how Mimi’s fanbase, affectionally called the Lambily, are celebrating the miraculous milestone.
