The cast and crew of the Broadway musical Be More Chill traveled from New York to Washington, D.C. for a Tiny Desk Concert at the NPR offices.
NPR asked staff members to bring their Broadway-obsessed teens to experience a stripped down, theatrical performance of “The Pants Song,” “A Guy That I’d Kinda Be Into,” “Michael In The Bathroom,” and “Voices in My Head.”
Each song by composer Joe Iconis taps into a key point of the plot of the show, which follows main character Jeremy, a high school nerd who goes through serious life changes after swallowing a pill-sized supercomputer that teaches him how to improve his social standing.
The cast all chime in and help each other out, playing instruments and taking selfies while full-on acting out their parts.
