Following last month’s massive white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Va., artists from all corners of the music world are coming together for a benefit concert on the same ground where protestors marched a month prior.
Ariana Grande, Pharrell Williams, and the Dave Matthews Band — along with a number of other big-name acts — will be performing at the University of Virginia’s Scott Stadium today (Sep. 24) for a crowd celebrating “music and unity,” in a city that has been marred by hatred in recent weeks.
Ticket sales for the concert will benefit victims of the violence that erupted in association with the rally, along with their families, first responders, and “organizations dedicated to healing, justice, and unity” — namely, the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation.
The concert will also be streamed online on a number of different websites; in addition to the concert’s official Tumblr page, it will also be streamed on YouTube, Facebook, HuffPost, Yahoo, and AOL.
Streaming begins live from Charlottesville at 5:55 p.m. ET.
