In Chicago and Denver, select artists will be doing exclusive full-album performances, including Snoop Dogg (Doggystyle), Ice Cube and special guests (Straight Outta Compton remix), and Rancid (…And Out Come the Wolves).
The Chicago festival (Riot Fest’s flagship) will take place Sept. 11-13 in the city’s Douglas Park, and feature (along with the headliners) Drive Like Jehu, De La Soul, L7, Thurston Moore Band, Eagles of Death Metal, Speedy Ortiz, Andrew W.K., Against Me!, Desaparecidos, Babes in Toyland, Swervedriver, Motörhead, Alvvays, the Damned, Heems, Lee “Scratch” Perry, and Damian “Junior Gong” Marley, along with more artists to be announced.
The Denver festival will take place Aug. 28-30 at the National West Complex, and feature (along with the headliners) Run-D.M.C., Pixies, Explosions in the Sky, Motörhead, Drive Like Jehu, L7, Babes in Toyland, the Damned, GZA, Eagles of Death Metal, Desaparecidos, De La Soul, Andrew W.K., and the Black Lips, along with more artists to be announced.
The Toronto festival will take place Sept. 19-20 in Downsview Park, and feature the Wu-Tang Clan, Tyler the Creator, Drive Like Jehu, Rancid, Babes in Toyland, Andrew W.K., Eagles of Death Metal, Against Me!, Thurston Moore Band, Motörhead, Atmosphere, Echo & the Bunnymen, the Joy Formidable, and FIDLAR, along with more artists to be announced.
