A few months after giving the hard-hitting “All Day” its live debut at the 2015 BRIT Awards, Kanye West will hit Glastonbury 2015 this summer to headline the fest’s Saturday lineup. Foo Fighters were previously announced as the Friday headliner; Sunday’s headliner has yet to be revealed.
We’re very excited to announce that @kanyewest will headline the Saturday night at Glastonbury 2015.

West will play Glastonbury seven years after Jay Z‘s weirdly controversial stint at the fest in 2008. Back then, Jay — who was the first hip-hop artist to headline Glastonbury — was targeted for not being “rock” enough to top the bill on the fest, according to critics like Oasis‘ Noel Gallagher (though to be fair, he criticizes everyone). Regardless, Hova played a successful, well-received set at the 2008 edition, even opening with a cheeky reworking of Oasis’ signature hit “Wonderwall.”
Glastonbury 2015, which runs from June 24-28, is already sold-out.
