Onstage at day 2 of the iHeartRadio Music Festival, Miley Cyrus opened the show and shouted out the other artists on the bill, especially hitmaking ’80s rockers Def Leppard. A couple of sets later, they were repaying the favor, dedicating a song to the pop star, who was front-and-center in the crowd for their performance.
This sort of intermingling of genres and generations of artists is exactly what iHeart is all about. Below, find our time-stamped breakdown of Saturday night (Sept. 21) at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena:
7:44 p.m. PT: Miley Cyrus gets day 2 of iHeartRadio Music Festival started with “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart,” wearing an all-black-leather two-piece outfit.
7:50 p.m.: The guys of Mumford & Sons pause in front of a monitor after giving backstage interviews to watch Miley’s opening set.
7:56 p.m.: Even though she’s short two angels (Ariana Grande and Lana Del Rey), Cyrus performs “Don’t Call Me Angel” for the very first time. She also pulls out covers of Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd classics. (More on that here.)

8:31 p.m.: Zac Brown Band mixes a taste of Eagles’ “Take It to the Limit” into their hit “Colder Weather,” seamlessly meshing the ’70s-era California country with their own 2010s twang. In a less likely cover, the band tackles Rage Against the Machine’s “Bulls on Parade” to end their set.

9:03 p.m.: Def Leppard wrapped up their set with a duo of roof-raisers. First was “Armageddon It,” which frontman Joe Elliott dedicated to “the memory of Eddie Money and Ric Ocasek.” And, naturally, they finished with “Pour Some Sugar on Me,” which was dedicated to Miley Cyrus. Unfortunately, that didn’t mean Miley popped up to join them on the perfectly debaucherous song, which was made for Vegas, but she was spotted in the crowd.

9:26 p.m.: Starting with an a cappella choir, H.E.R. brings a new depth to Ed Sheeran’s “Make It Rain” for a stirring, bluesy cover.

9:36 p.m.: T-Pain hits the stage unannounced for a medley of his biggest solo hits and choruses, including “Snap Yo Fingers,” “Buy You a Drank,” “Booty Wurk” and Kanye West’s “Good Life.” But he has so many other smashes — will he be back?

9:47 p.m.: Alicia Keys makes the most of her six-song set with a mix of new songs (the debut of “Show Me Love”), classics (“No One,” “Empire State of Mind”), covers (Post Malone’s “Congratulations”) and special guests (Lewis Capaldi for “Someone You Loved”). Read more about it here.

10:17 p.m.: T-Pain’s back! This time for “Bartender,” Lil Wayne’s “Get Money” and DJ Khaled’s “All I Do Is Win,” which is basically the unofficial anthem of Vegas.
10:37 p.m.: Mumford & Sons’ Marcus Mumford does his best Elvis, telling the audience “Thank you, thank you very much” after the band wraps up “The Cave.” Next up: They kick into the brand-new song “Blind Leading the Blind.” The guys told Billboard backstage that the new track doesn’t indicate that a full album is on the way only a year after their Billboard 200 No. 1 Delta project.
11:02 p.m.: Chance the Rapper has the crowd eating out of his hand right off the bat, starting with his upbeat Lil Wayne collab “No Problem” (minus the Weezy).
