Run the Jewels and Purity Ring are set to co-headline the inaugural Fortress Festival in Texas. The two-day event, celebrating music and culture, will take place April 29-30 in Fort Worth’s Cultural District.
Also confirmed to perform are Flying Lotus, Slowdive and S U R V I V E. The festival will feature two stages: one on the grounds of the Will Rogers Memorial Center and the second on the reflecting pond at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. In addition to the Modern Art Museum, Fortress Festival partners include local adult alternative radio station KXT-FM (91.7 FM).
“This lineup offers a rich diversity of styles and genres; each act has played a definitive role in shaping or reflecting contemporary popular culture,” Fortress Festival founders Alec Jhangiani and Ramtin Nikzad said. “Pairing these performances with the world-class art and architecture of the Modern Art Museum, the heritage of Will Rogers Memorial Center and other offerings within Fort Worth’s renowned Cultural District will make Fortress an unforgettable experience.”
The complete Fortress Festival slate appears below. More information about tickets and additional festival details is available on the fest’s official website.
