Give Daya a festival gig and a puppy, and you’ll make her day. Billboard caught up with the “Sit Still, Look Pretty” singer — who earned a Grammy nod for her Chainsmokers collaboration, “Don’t Let Me Down” — at this year’s Firefly Festival to find out what makes festival season so fun.
“My favorite part is this, just being around people, having a good energy,” Daya said, cuddling a small dog. “Everyone here loves music and is in it for a good time. It energizes me on stage.”
“All my friends are usually at festivals … I just have so much adrenaline running, I literally could run a marathon after my shows,” she added.
