
Kanye West upped the cameo ante on Coachella’s second Saturday (April 18) when the controversial rapper joined The Weeknd for a mini-set that included crowd-pleasers “Can’t Tell Me Nothing” and “Heartless.”
The next night, Nicki Minaj was among the surprise guests to hit the festival’s main stage, joining Drake for his headlining slot, but delivering little more than a wave. Still, Drizzy clearly appreciated the support, calling Minaj his “sister” and confessing to a longtime crush on his labelmate.

Similarly, Belgian artist Stromae brought out West during his Sunday night set and ‘Ye didn’t end up singing.
Florence + The Machine, however, turned the tide, bringing out Father John Misty for a cover of the classic “Love Hurts.”

Indeed, Florence had hurt her foot which forced her to sing while seated and cut the group’s set short. Misty was a sort of make-good, she explained, before launching into an unadorned and intimate performance.
Elsewhere on the polo grounds, Ciara surprised crowds during DJ R3hab’s set on Saturday afternoon, debuting a remix of “I Bet,” from her forthcoming album, Jackie. The two celebrated the appearance on Instagram. Watch the clip below:
