Billie Eilish has been upgraded to the main stage for her upcoming performances at Reading and Leeds Festivals in The U.K. The 17-year-old star was set to play the BBC Radio 1 stage when the lineup was first announced, but has been bumped up to a slot prior to Anderson .Paak.
“Following the meteoric rise of Billie Eilish since we first booked her on the line-up, we are thrilled to be moving her to the Main Stage to allow as many fans as possible to see what we are sure is going to be one of the highlights of the weekend,” Festival Republic managing director Melvin Benn said in a statement.
Eilish will now perform on the Main Stage on Saturday Aug. 24 at Reading and Sunday Aug. 25 at Leeds. The “Bad Guy” singer’s upgrade has elevated Stefflon Don to the BBC Radio 1 stage to fill Eilish’s vacated slot.
The upgrade puts Eilish on the same stage as Blossoms, Post Malone and Twenty One Pilots. Other headliners for Reading and Leeds include The 1975, Royal Blood, Foo Fighters and A Day to Remember.
The Reading Festival will return to Richfield Avenue and Leeds Festival is back at Bramham Park from Aug. 23-25 in the U.K.
