Well, the secret's out: The festival confirmed the news shortly after Adele's announcement.

This will be Adele's first time performing at the massive outdoor festival, which runs June 22-26 this year.

"To the people who say I am too boring to headline,” she told the audience in London, "You’re more fucking boring for moaning about me headlining."

She joins previously announced headliners Muse on Friday night and Coldplay on Sunday night. PJ Harvey and Jeff Lynne's ELO have also been confirmed to the lineup and the festival has said it will pay tribute to David Bowie with a screening of his career-spanning main stage performance from 2000.

The Glastonbury show will cap Adele's European tour supporting 25 before she hits North America in July with dates going as late as November.
