Says Light, the agency's managing partner and head of music: "Cara has built a remarkable career cultivating the careers of some of the most acclaimed artists in music today. Her expertise of the urban market, ability to innovate, and keen eye for talent will be great assets to our continued growth."

According to a source, Kanye West, Lewis' biggest client, parted ways with her a couple months ago. The rapper is currently without music representation. Eminem is expected to join Lewis at CAA.

Lewis had a big 2011, with West's Coachella appearance, his " Watch the Throne" tour with Jay-Z and Eminem's forthcoming Australian tour.

"This is a tough business to be in. The landscape is ever-changing," Lewis told Billboard last year. "I love my clients, their music and the opportunity to be a partner in their success."
