Alexandra Burke, winner of TV music talent show "The X Factor," has scored the U.K. Christmas No. 1 with "Hallelujah" (Syco) while Jeff Buckley's version of the Leonard Cohen song is at No. 2.

Burke sold 576,000 copies according to the Official Charts Company, which makes it the fastest-selling single by a female artist. It beat previous "X-Factor" winner Leona Lewis' "A Moment Like This" (Syco), released in December 2006.

It is the first time in 51 years that the same song has occupied the top two positions in the U.K. chart. Cohen is also at No. 36 with his original version, from the 1984 album "Various Positions" (Columbia).

The late Jeff Buckley's recording of "Hallelujah" is from his 1994 set "Grace" (Columbia). Bon Jovi's version is also at No. 177 in the singles chart, while Kate Voegele's cover of the song is at No. 191.

Meanwhile, pop act Take That secured the Christmas No. 1 album with "The Circus" (Polydor), selling 382,000 in the last week.
