The German association of record retailers AMM (Aktiv Musik Marketing GmbH) in Hamburg has announced a Record Store Week to run from Oct. 30 to Nov. 6.

The event follows the international Record Store Day, which will return on April 17, 2010, and aims to promote music retailers with media activities.

Jörg Hottas, AMM's managing director, said in a statement: "We want to present for the first time the retailer stores and the specialized classic retailers in all their variety. We have the support of various artists and media."

Partners of the campaign include all the majors and indies such as Edel, Alive, Soulfood, Indigo and GoodToGo.

Retailer association AMM, which comprises 80 small and mid-size retailers, has been operating since 1997.
