Sony/ATV Music Publishing and Creative Nation announced today (Jan. 30) the signing of a worldwide publishing agreement with Grammy award-winning songwriter and producer Luke Laird.

Troy Tomlinson, Sony/ATV Nashville president/CEO said, "It’s a rare occasion when a publisher is able to secure both the hit-driven catalog and the futures of a writer the quality of Luke Laird. We are grateful that he is entrusting his body of work with us and look forward to continuing success."
In addition to winning Best Country Album at both the Grammys and the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2014 as a producer on Kacey Musgraves’ Same Different Trailer Park, Laird has racked up a number of accolades. On six separate occasions, the Country Music Association has recognized him with the Triple Play Award, signifying three No. 1 singles within a 12-month period. Laird has also received Song of the Year and Songwriter of the Year awards from BMI, as well as Songwriter of the Year from ACM.
“I’m looking forward to working with Troy, Josh Van Valkenburg and the entire Sony/ATV team,” said Laird. “They have a great history of working with songwriters who are heroes of mine and they will be the perfect complement to my team at Creative Nation.”
