Sony/ATV Music Publishing and Creative Nation announced today (Jan. 30) the signing of a worldwide publishing agreement with Grammy award-winning songwriter and producer Luke Laird.

Laird’s prolific songwriting career has landed him at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 a total of 23 times, for tracks including “Drink in My Hand” by Eric Church, “Downtown” by Lady Antebellum and “Last Name” by Carrie Underwood.

In addition to winning Best Country Album at both the Grammys and the Academy of Country Music Awards  in 2014 as a producer on Kacey MusgravesSame Different Trailer Park, Laird has racked up a number of accolades. On six separate occasions, the Country Music Association has recognized him with the Triple Play Award, signifying three No. 1 singles within a 12-month period. Laird has also received Song of the Year and Songwriter of the Year awards from BMI, as well as Songwriter of the Year from ACM.
