Diarmuid Quinn, Former Top Exec at Warner Bros & Reprise, Joins Kobalt Label Services

Veteran music biz executive Diarmuid Quinn has joined Kobalt Label Services (KLS) in the role as president, North America.

Quinn’s tasks include leading and staffing-up Kobalt’s expanding label services operations in the U.S., signing artists for global release campaigns, and developing North America marketing campaigns for international KLS clients.

Quinn brings with him an impressive resume. In the 2000s, he served as COO of Warner Bros Records and president of Reprise Records, during which time he oversaw the development of such artists as Michael Buble, Josh Groban and My Chemical Romance. At Warner, he had a hand in the global marketing campaigns for the likes of Madonna, Linkin Park, Green Day, Eric Clapton, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Enya and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Quinn’s “broad experience in developing acts and marketing/promotion for major artists will be a tremendous asset to our clients,” comment KLS chairman Richard Sanders, to whom he reports.

Prior to joining Warner, Quinn worked in partnership with Jeff Ayeroff on the Beatles “1” project, and developed hundreds of successful campaigns in marketing roles for Columbia, Epic, MCA and Disney. Most recently, he helmed TourDForce Productions, his own management and marketing company where he worked with Richard Marx, Rod Stewart, Beady Eye, Martina McBride, the Beach Boys, Mary J. Blige, Mark Knopfler among others.

Quinn also co-produced the Grammy Award winning documentary Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers “Runnin Down A Dream.”
