Santa Monica, Calif.-based videogame publisher Activision Publishing announced today (March 22) that it has signed a multi-year deal with Live Nation, the world's largest promoter and venue operator, to develop and distribute videogames based on LN’s Monster Jam truck tour.

The first game under the deal, which grants Activision exclusive worldwide rights, will feature 20 of the world’s top monster trucks on the Monster Jam circuit, including Grave Digger, Maximum Destruction, Monster Mutt and El Toro Loco.

The video is still “in the works,” according to Charlie Mancuso, president of Live Nation’s Motor Sports division, but is expected to hit retail this holiday season.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Owned by Live Nation, the Monster Jam series annually hits more than 250 stadiums and arenas worldwide and attracts approximately 4 million fans, according to a statement.
