Billboard senior retail correspondent Ed Christman is adding the publishing beat to his reporting duties.

In his new role, Christman will be responsible for leading the coverage of publishing issues for all Billboard products, including the weekly magazine, Billboard.biz and Billboard Bulletin. He will write the bi-weekly Publishers Place column and his long-running Retail Track column on alternating weeks.

Christman will continue to report to editorial director Bill Werde and will continue to be based in New York.

Christman, the dean of music business reporting, first joined Billboard in 1989.
