Publisher Peermusic Hamburg and Peter Hoffmann, the composer/producer of internationally successful German group Tokio Hotel, have formed a new joint venture production house "Hopla Reloaded."

The new company will aim to sign and develop new talent -- including that sourced through Peermusic's international A&R network -- before shopping finished projects to record labels. Its formation was confirmed at MIDEM by Peermusic Germany managing director Lars Ingwersen.

Eight new acts have already been signed, says Ingwersen, who adds that talks are already being held with record companies for exploitation of the productions.

"We are acting like a small label which exploits broad-based artist rights," says Ingwersen. "This includes advising acts on finance, production, marketing the recorded music, promotion and live and merchandising deals."

Hoffmann suggests that Hopla Reloaded will allow Peermusic to "guarantee artists an optimum platform for launching a successful career."

In a statement, Peermusic Group chairman/CEO Ralph Peer added: "with this joint venture with composer/producer Peter Hoffmann, we will be able to harness new means of discovering and establishing new talents. We will be grooming and advising them with all the experience that Peermusic has to offer."

The Hopla creative team also includes composer/producer Franz Plasa (Nina Hagen, true, Blessed, Udo Lindenberg).
