Live Nation Appoints Carrie Davis Chief Communications Officer

Live Nation Entertainment announced Wednesday that Carrie Davis has been appointed chief communications officer. She joins Live Nation from Disney Interactive, where she served as vice president of communications.

In her new role, Davis will oversee internal and external communications for the company out of its Beverly Hills office. She will report to president and CEO Michael Rapino and COO Joe Berchtold.

"Carrie brings highly relevant expertise and a like-minded approach to communications at the right time for Live Nation and our global growth plan. Our employees and external partners will benefit from her substantial experience in music, entertainment and technology and we look forward to working with her," said Rapino in a statement.

Prior to Disney, Davis oversaw public relations and strategy for Yahoo!'s portfolio of news and entertainment websites. She worked at public relations firms Hill+Knowlton Strategies and GolinHarris before that, representing clients including Nintendo, Nestlé, AEG, Boost Mobile and Sony Home Entertainment. 

Davis started her career working in music, managing public relations for artists through her own firm and at Tommy Boy Records and Blackground/Universal Records, working with Aaliyah, Timbaland, De La Soul, OutKast and others.
