SFX Entertainment has announced its acquisition of Plus Talent, a leading agency and events promoter/producer in Brazil, in their latest move to expand in the South American market. Founded 20 years ago, Plus talent represents DJs and producers, books talent and produces tours and events, like the XXXperience Festival and SFX's Tomorrowland Brazil, which recently sold out in three hours.
"Plus Talent is an extremely talented and creative company, with the deepest experience in the Brazilian market," said Robert F.X. Sillerman, chairman and CEO of SFX Entertainment.
Luiz Eurico Klotz, co-founder of Plus Talent added, "Partnering with SFX is the next logical step for our company. Bringing brands like Tomorrowland to Brazil is a watershed moment for the scene we have so carefully nurtured here for the last 20 years."
With festivals like Rock in Rio and Lollapalooza leading the way, Brazil has emerged as a touring hotspot for international artists. Additionally, the country ranks as one of the top ten markets globally for recorded music.
SFX previously announced it would acquire a 50 percent stake in the holding company that controls Rock in Rio, the mega-festival held in Rio de Janeiro. An American iteration, Rock in Rio USA, is set to debut in May 2015 in Las Vegas.
