Hannes Eder, managing director of Universal Music Austria, is the new president of the Austrian IFPI.

Eder has been elected for a two-year period by the general assembly of the trade body.

In the new, Vienna-based role, he succeeds Manfred Lappe, managing director of Warner Music Austria and COO Warner Music G/S/A and president Eastern Europe.
