George Michael has extended his British and European tour to include a second Wembley Stadium date.

Michael will now also perform June 10 at the rebuilt London stadium, in addition to the previously-announced June 9 date.

Michael's manager Andy Stevens, director of London-based Andy Stephens Management, tells the 67,000 capacity venue sold-out within hours of tickets going on sale yesterday.

The former Wham! frontman is to be the first artist to perform at the rebuilt stadium, which has been mired by delays and spiralling costs.

The London concerts land midway through the singer's British and European stadium tour, which is due to start May 18 at NRGI Park in Aarhus, Denmark and is now scheduled to end July 26 at the OAKA Stadium in Athens, Greece.
