Viagogo, the pan-European online secondary-ticketing service, has clinched an exclusive deal to auction ticket packages for Peter Gabriel's current tour.

The auction will benefit a new charity the artist is backing, details for which will be unveiled tomorrow.

Viagogo’s agreement was inked with Real World Tours, Gabriel's label and concert-promotion venture.

This gives Viagogo exclusive access to ticket packages for Gabriel's "The Warm Up Tour: Summer 07" across Europe, which is due to conclude Aug. 11 at the Smukkeste Festival in Skanderborg, Denmark.

The packages comprise tickets, related merchandise and signed CDs. The auctions' proceeds, generated from bids on the Web site, will be donated to the charity.

"This is an exciting first for us to offer such exclusive packages to followers of a legendary musician," said Viagogo CEO Eric Baker. "We're really pleased to be able to offer fans a great experience, and help raise money for Peter's favorite charity at the same time."

Viagogo, which launched last fall, nabbed similar secondary-ticket deals with Warner Music International artists in May, and Music for Relief, a charity founded by rock band Linkin Park.

But the Gabriel deal is the first directly with an artist.
