Live Nation is utilizing widget software to allow British music fans to create their own online search facility for concert tickets.

The world's largest live music company is now making the software available to download in the U.K. following its launch in the U.S. in July.

The widget software can be posted to personal Web sites and social networking pages, enabling visitors to search for concerts and buy tickets directly from that web location.

"These new features give more power and access to online music fans, enabling them to effortlessly search for and buy concert tickets through their own websites," said Mark Yovich, Live Nation's senior VP Interactive, International in a statement.

The software is available from under the button marked "concert tools".

The company has also introduced a search bar add-in for Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox as well as a Live Nation Google Gadget, allowing users to incorporate Live Nation's concert search engine into their regular web browser.

The additional products for U.K. users will provide a launching pad for new services to be rolled out in eight other territories across Europe over the next few months, Live Nation added.
